Sai Children’s Home

Our CSR initiative

An “Earn, Learn and Return” concept is the foundation of our CSR initiative. Earn from tourism, Learn from Nature and Return to the orphanage was the core philosophy behind starting Sai Children’s Home. We truly feel privileged to be able to provide a home to these underprivileged children. It is a joy for all of us at The Hidden Oasis to contribute and make a difference in their lives.

Sai Children’s Home is a secular, self-sustaining, registered charitable institution, whose main objective is to provide an eco-friendly home for orphans and underprivileged girl children, giving them shelter, security, love and education.

How it started?

The vision of a middle class working family started taking shape after they bought an eight acre piece of land on the banks of a lake in remote Garade Village, 29 Km from the city of Pune. The first four years were spent overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and in developing the infrastructure.

It was in July 2002 that SAI CHILDREN’S HOME was finally born as a shelter for six destitute children with the help from family and friends. Another family joined in as a trustee, and together with their joint efforts, the institute grew in quality and stability, and has educated and settled many girls. It presently shelters girls in the age group of three to seventeen years. In November 2004, the institute took another step forward by starting a primary Zilla Parishad school in its premises. The institute has never been attached to or aided by the Government or any NGOs.
